Most livable cities

In a ranking of the world's most livable cities, as ranked by Business Week, Cleveland shows up at #59! Impressive.

New York comes in at #48!

But seriously, currency-exchange regulations make a city more "livable?" These lists are always a little shady. Have you ever seen the Happy Planet Index that ranks countries by "human well-being and environmental impact?" Colombia is #2 (The USA is #150...two above Rwanda)

If they're using the literal meaning of "livable," then I think it's a tie among every city. I am able to live in Cleveland just as much as I am to live anywhere else. Life will just suck a bit more.

It's not surprising that, in a list taking the "Ecological Footprint" as a major factor, the United States is nowhere near the top.

Eric, it's a good thing that it's not using the literal meaning of "livable". Apparently, there is a pretty good chance of being murdered in Cleveland ;-)
