Looks like the first of the hard drive based PDAs have arrived.
These new devices will most likely reinvigorate the PDA market and start to make laptops less appealing to some people. Should be interesting to keep an eye on as the prices fall and capacity increases.

The life drive is basically just a Tungsten T5 with WiFi and far greater storage. While I will agree that it is pretty sweet, I'm not sure how revolutionary it will be in regards to functionality. It will run the same apps and have the same limitations as the Tungsten. The real difference is that you can store all of the mapopolis maps and a slew of mp3s on the hard drive. Regardless... I still want one.
The revolutionary aspect of it will be when you start seeing PocketPC PDAs with these hard drives. Pretty soon the line between laptop and PDA will blur.
If you could have a full WindowsXP Tablet in the form factor of a PDA, would you still need a laptop?
